The brief was simply to be colourful and fun. The brides wedding dress had delicate blue embroidery on the cuffs and her bridesmaids were to wear anything they chose in the same shade of blue. A brightly coloured design was created for the bouquets using seasonal flowers. The marquee tables were filled with brightly coloured seasonal and locally grown plants and herbs all placed in a mixture of blue and white pots, elegantly tying it all together. Above the guests’ heads, two large installations of foliage hung with colourful ribbons swaying in the summers breeze and at the end of each ribbon a carnation flower head - one of the bride’s favourite flowers. All the plants were given to neighbours and friends whose gardens were then filled with memories of this wonderful wedding.
